What is a whole health educator? Simply put, I consider the FIVE ASPECTS of health and whole wellness . These aspects are :
- Physical: genetics, gender, age, activity level, body composition immune system function, hormone changes, sleep, physical stressors ( allergies).
- Environmental: culture, income ( affluent/ poverty), water and air quality, exposure to toxins, noise levels.
- Emotional: survival/ safety, belonging, self esteem,personal fulfillment, productivity, tensions , anxieties, depression, loneliness
- Nutritional: quality of food intake, vitamins, minerals, over consumption of alcohol, smoking, organ function stress levels ( increased nutritional needs).
- Spiritual. Values, world view, belief systems, trust/fear, sacred vs non sacred perspective, global consciousness.
Whole health is looking at your body as a puzzle. When one of the pieces are missing, there is imbalance. All of these elements uniquely rolled into you, are what makes you well, or dis-eased.
